Covid-19
We have now re-opened to Face to Face Consultations
At Flex Physiotherapy the health, wellbeing and safety of our patients and staff is our absolute priority during the unprecedented situation surrounding the current Covid-19 pandemic. In adherence with government guidelines, we have now re-opened our clinic to recommence face to face consultations. We have put the following measures in place to reduce the risk to our staff, patients and to public health.
- satisfying legal, regulatory and professional responsibilities ✅
- risk assessment of the clinic ✅
- infection prevention and control measures ✅
- personal protective equipment ✅
- taking ‘virtual first’ approach ✅
- patient risk assessment and clinical reasoning ✅
- patient education and consent for treatment ✅
We are very proud of what’s been achieved and look forward to welcoming you back!
It is our priority to ensure the safety of our clients & staff, therefore before arranging a face to face consultation we must first conduct an online or telephone triage consultation.

Clinic Capacity and Cleaning
-
There will only be one physiotherapist working per clinic.
-
You will be the only patient on site. There will be no cross over of appointments
-
Appointments will be spaced so that there are at least 15 minutes between appointments. This will enable the clinician to have time to change PPE and clean all surfaces that have been touched by either the clinician or the patients. This includes the plinths, pillows, gym equipment, chairs, door handles, banister, and light switches.
-
Towels and couch covers will not be used.
Personal Protective Equipment
Your physiotherapist will be wearing the following PPE at your appointment. This is in compliance with current government and CSP guidelines: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/wuhan-novel-coronavirus-infection-prevention-and-control
-
Non-latex gloves (single use)
-
Apron (single use)
-
IIR facemask (sessional use)
What to Expect when you come into the Clinic
When coming into the clinic we ask you to follow the following rules.
-
Please complete the symptom checker questionnaire that will be sent by email. This must be done on the day of your appointment before attending your appointment.
-
Please wait outside the clinic or in your car until your appointment time. Please do not arrive early, this will ensure that there is no crossover of patients and allows us time to sanitise everything and change our PPE.
-
Please wear a face mask or face covering for the entire time that you are in the building. We will provide a mask on arrival if you do not have one.
-
We will ask you to carefully clean your hands with alcohol-based gel on entering and leaving the clinic.
-
When in clinic - to minimise close contact we will maintain social distancing (i.e >2 meters) when possible. However, to assess and treat fully we will be unable to social distance all the time. We will be doing everything we possibly can to reduce the risk to our staff and patients. However, if you do attend the clinic for face to face treatment, please be aware that there is no way that we can completely eliminate the risk of contracting Covid-19.
-
Please ensure you have used the toilet prior to attending your appointment
